Catherine Lang, PHR
As Human Resources Manager, Catherine Lang is responsible for all human resources functions, including the promotion of good employee morale and employee satisfaction to create a culture that fosters teamwork and harmony. She promotes the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) and the importance of continuous improvement.
Ms. Lang began her career with Canadian Pacific Limited in the Department of Administration as the Supervisor of Micrographics, where she was responsible for implementing the first micrographic automated retrieval system. She was later promoted to Systems Analyst in the office of the Vice President of Administration for CP Rail. She served for two years as Secretary of the Canadian Micrographic Society, Montreal Chapter.
In 1995 Ms. Lang relocated to Miami and joined Secutronex Inc. as Human Resources Manager, where she worked as a generalist, and created an organizational structure, a system to promote employee development and she facilitated quality workshops. She was soon promoted to Quality Manager and received internal auditor training and became certified under the International Register of Certificated Auditors. In her role as Quality Manager she spearheaded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Quality Management program and was successful in leading Secutronex to certification within two years. Secutronex became known in the industry as the first Latin American electronics distributor with the ISO9002 designation.
Ms. Lang was born and raised in Montréal, Canada, where she attended Concordia University and studied in the field of Administrative Business Management. She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management. She resides in Miami with her husband and their two children. She is a member of her local church and is active in community events that support a healthy lifestyle.
